This song is wonderful, it is a set of mixes made by different conferences of TED. Definitely, ideas in a song this way made me feel extremely happy. This types of lyrics are amazing! I like them a little more abstract though, but the goal... that is what I really liked.

Besides this video, we took time to watch others that told us a little of economic theory:

And a little of history of Nikolas Tesla and Che Guevara. It is extremely funny that wrong idea we have of certain people, such as Thomas Edison and Guevara. These people just became famous for reasons that aren't really true or legitimate. People using Che Guevara shirts, pretending to be rebels. People crediting Edison in all of the textbooks not considering that he wasn't the actual inventor of so many things.

Javier Parellada made the Morning Meeting a great experience. It was the 5th of November, and he told us the story of this tradition, which starts with a man. Or should I say an idea?

On the 5th of November of 1605, Guy Fawkes, a member of the English Catholics; was found under the Westminster Palace with explosives. The plan of John Catesby (leader of the English Catholics), was to kill King James I so they could return the power to the catholic monarchy. But because Guy Fawkes was found with gunpowder by the troops of the king, they sentenced him to death. They knew about the plan because an anonymous letter was received.

The execution of Guy Fawkes is remembered now every 5th of November, so everyone knows of the treason. The poem goes like this:
    Remember, remember!
    The fifth of November,
    The Gunpowder treason and plot;
    I know of no reason
    Why the Gunpowder treason
    Should ever be forgot!

It is extremely interesting how this became a tradition so it was a reflection of the fear towards the government. Is it a way of the kingdom saying: if you commit treason, this is what will happen to you!? Or...

Traditions change, and now the past Vth of November was supposed to be one of the rebellions of the group of hackers Anonymous. Who can know what the future traditional meaning of the Vth of November will be?

Today was Alejo's morning meeting. He decided to bring a clip of the movie Garden State to class, (watch it). Yes, and that is what we did: we marked a historical and unique moment in our lives. My thoughts about this? Well, it kind of reflects the amount of confidence we have on our community until now.

After that, we watched a clip of Steve Jobs:
How do we see the world? Are we able to see the available opportunities and actually being aware that we can grab them and make them ours? Are we powerful enough, even when standing among the deepest and loud crowds? So much people are so pessimistic about this... and maybe that's why many people don't live their dream.

The argument of this video is that when people are given big incentives to do easy and mechanical facts, these people are actually able to improve. So then, money incentives this.
On the other hand, if there are monetary incentives to create something or to use mental activities, then the product is worse. It is an interesting experiment but I wouldn't approve it right away.
I agree you can't oblige someone to create something. And I disagree with the inside on money as the only incentive, but anyhow, the idea seems interesting.

I love Walt Disney for making these kind of terms that were sometime so complex and divine for mathematicians and turning them into a language so comprehensible that it just amazes you.

We take so many things for granted. So many things. And they have this complexity, this story that can turn to be so interesting. The world is full of wonders, of doors waiting to be opened.

I didn't know about a concentration camp that was made specially for artists in order to distract the international community. That is sick, but still the power of music. Human creativity and that sublime feeling that music gives... is something unique.

Pablito shared this video about a survivor of one of those camps. Her name is Alice and she is a pianist. It is wonderful how she actually saw the best side of this. She doesn't even has hatred. She values life so much, and I was amazed.

Besides, Pablito shared a page were classical music can be identified. Really cool page: El poder de la palabra

A visionary is present, searches and thrives for opportunities. He knows the world isn't a "perfect" place, but working and the conscience of making things happen reveals the power of getting real: being aware of WHAT IS.

All around us we can find some kinds of patterns, even with the naked eyes we can see in our apparent chaotic universe components that actually repeat themselves and show how mysterious  our surroundings are. Specially when they're related to math, one of the science we consider to be the more precise and factual! Take a look at this video which explains better what I'm talking about:

PROBLEM> Solution I

Books are wonderful objects. This amazing movie is the representation of Hellene Hanff's book 84 Charing Cross Road. It is about a bookstore in England and Hanff's continous contact with it so she could buy English books, some of them really old. She stablishes a really good friendship between one of the bookstore's workers through letters. 84 Charing Cross Road is a good example of love for books.

The World is an amazing place with so many stories to tell. The invention of the camera was one of the most revolutionary storytelling inventions of human existence. The access to lots of people to document events in images: from a nuclear explosion to a familiar shot, changed the way we see the world.

But also, all of the information spread and being also gathered have connections we can't even imagine. This wonderful film: Shooting the Past, written by Poliakoff, gives us a glimpse of the connections that exist in all the single moments captured by different minds.
